    TERM: Seasonal (10 Weeks): August 14 - October 20

    RATE: $1,000/week

    JOB OVERVIEW
    The Senior Coordinator of Volunteer Services is responsible for the organization, recruitment, and deployment of the NYFF Volunteer Corps. The Coordinator will work closely with full time staff to identify volunteer opportunities, clarify training plans, conduct recruitment efforts, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Festival's volunteer program. The ideal candidate is highly organized with an interest in the production of large-scale events as well as someone who is comfortable engaging with a large, diverse group of volunteers on a daily basis.


    PRINCIPAL DUTIES
    Oversee NYFF's Volunteer Database;
    - Serve as the face of the NYFF Volunteer program, conducting meetings, composing formal communications, and hosting recruitment events as needed;
    - Act as the primary point of contact on the ground for volunteers, performing regular rounds and checking in with scheduled volunteers throughout each day; 
    - Establish and communicate clear expectations for volunteer oversight to festival staff;
    - Manage volunteer inbox as well as field questions from the public about volunteering requirements, opportunities, and general questions;
    - Revise and distribute volunteer-relevant scoping/training documents and materials;
    - Conduct two in-person volunteer information sessions for prospective volunteers;
    - Oversee volunteer placements/assignments throughout the festival;
    - Oversee the distribution/creation of volunteer credentials, uniforms, meal vouchers, etc.;
    - Administer volunteer benefits throughout the festival, including screening access, volunteer appreciation day, and the Volunteer Wrap Party;
    - Generate reports on the status of the program as required;
    - Participate in the Festival Wrap Process, turning in a full written report.

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
    - Ability to work onsite during pre-production and at NYFF venues throughout the festival
    - Strong written and verbal communication skills
    - Strong leadership skills, including flexibility and calm under pressure
    - Comfortable working with databases as well as common productivity tools (GSuite, etc.)
    - 2-3 years of production or operations experience
    - Familiarity with film festival best practices ideal
    - Comfortable speaking to/in from of large groups
    - Comfortable working in Google Suite and Excel
