Film Festival Alliance is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $65,000.

This grant will support FFA's ongoing programming and resources for independent film exhibitors, including the 2024 Independent Film Exhibition Conference, hosted this June in Chicago. In total, the NEA will award 1,135 Grants for Arts Projects awards totaling more than $37 million as part of its second round of fiscal year 2024 grants.

“Projects like Film Festival Alliance's exemplify the creativity and care with which communities are telling their stories, creating connection, and responding to challenges and opportunities in their communities—all through the arts,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “So many aspects of our communities such as cultural vitality, health and wellbeing, infrastructure, and the economy are advanced and improved through investments in art and design, and the National

Endowment for the Arts is committed to ensuring people across the country benefit.”

"We are honored to once again receive this meaningful support from the NEA. This funding helps us expand our reach, curate impactful programming, and continue to drive necessary conversations within our industry," said FFA Executive Director Barbara Twist.

Film Festival Alliance's upcoming conference, the Independent Film Exhibition Conference (IND/EX), is co-produced by Art House Convergence and made possible by this support from the NEA. IND/EX is poised to bring more than 600 film exhibitors, cinema operators, festival organizers, and industry professionals together in downtown Chicago for 4 days of dynamic programming, collaborative conversations, and more.
