    Box Officer / Customer Support Representative

    Location: San Rafael, CA (15 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge)

    Status: Seasonal, Hybrid

    Dates: September 7 - October 22, 2023

    Compensation: $19/hour

    About Mill Valley Film Festival:

    Founded in 1978, the Mill Valley Film Festival is a world-renowned 11-day event held every October, screening over 200 innovative US and international films for over 60,000 attendees. MVFF has a stellar reputation as a filmmakers' festival with a high-profile, prestigious, non-competitive environment celebrating the best in independent and world cinema in gorgeous Northern California.


    About the job:

    We are looking for movie lovers and customer service superstars to staff our box office and provide online customer support for the 46th Mill Valley Film Festival (Oct 5th to Oct 15th). Our primary box office locations will be in San Rafael, CA and Mill Valley, CA, with additional locations at Roxie Theater in San Francisco, Lark Theater in Larkspur, and BAMPFA in Berkeley.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Selling tickets and memberships
    • Responding to customer voice- and e-mails
    • Preparing will call and mail-out orders
    • Assisting in the fulfillment of internal ticket requests

    Experience:

    • Customer service
    • Cash handling
    • Familiarity with POS systems
    • Organizational skills a plus
